Happy birthday Garvin

Dear Dad

Happy birthday to you!^^
May you enjoy a day
as funny as your smiles
as kind as your ways
and as great as you are!

Have a nice day Dad. I miss you.

The person in question is Garvin, whom I call dad. He is a very close friend of mine and we have shared countless moments together. Although we have lived apart from each other for a few years now, every single time we see each other yields a new load of memories that last for a lifetime.

Take care!

Farewell O8!!!

1334022
Oasis Hong Kong Airlines (IATA-Code: O8) shut down all its flights on April 10, 2008 following liquidation on April 09, 2008. This is a sad day in aviation business because I liked the young and ambitious airline very much. I even thought of joining them myself one day. I feel the tragedy of their employees and wish them all the best.

Oasis Hong Kong Airlines was founded by Rev. Raymond C. Lee, and his wife, Priscilla H. Lee in February 2005. The chief executive, Steve Miller, was founder and first chief executive of another Hong Kong-based airline, Dragonair. Its inaugural route to London commenced service on October 26, 2006. The first flight, flight O8 700, took off from Hong Kong International Airport after a 24-hour delay. The airline had been scheduled to begin operations on October 25, but Russia revoked the London-bound flight's fly-over rights at 12:09 PM, one hour before the flight's scheduled departure.

Though Oasis originally operated as a low-fare airline, it had already broken-even after the first six months of operations. The airline said that this was achieved through flying long-haul so as to decrease maintenance and fuel costs. It also has a lower cost per passenger-kilometer compared to other airlines in Hong Kong.
Business passengers, and those who used to have to transfer en-route to get to London, would be Oasis' main sources of revenue. Like many other airlines, Oasis planned to hedge a proportion of its fuel purchases to guard against future fuel price increases.

Oasis Hong Kong Airlines was liquidated on April 9 2008. The liquidator KPMG announced the liquidation and that over the following few days it would conduct a search for potential buyers for the airline.

Goodbye O8... And thank you!

Happy Birthday

April 8th 2008! I turned 19 today! Wow, how time flies Surprised This will be my last teenager year of my brief life... I really believe that I should live every minute of my life as if it were the last to come.

The feelings today are not really that strong because I have a lot to do since I just returned from my trip to Switzerland during which work was piling up at my house. I have had a very good start into school this monday since I ended the holidays with a very good attitude and motivation to get me through the next eleven weeks until my summer break starts. I slept little and started the day in a simple manner with a good breakfast. I was absolutely fascinated about how many people remembered my birthday. I especially want to mention two of my good school friends - Laura and Susi - one of the first to wish me a happy birthday this morning. The idea with the Snickers and the candle made my day. The school day passed by in a rather normal manner thereafter with almost all of my friends wishing me a happy birthday. To keep it a simple day, I chose to have some Chinese food just with my Dad this evening at 翠園 in Frankfurt. Lovely - how I missed that!!! XD
I will be focusing on studies again during the next few weeks to regain my average grades that I have lost during the lazy months between Xmas and Easter. Tongue out
Since I was short on time, I will report on my Switzerland trip sometime the next few days. It was really interesting and in some ways opened new windows for me!
Take care my friends and family, stay healthy and be good!

Crucify My Love

Crucify my love
If my love is blind
Crucify my love
If it sets me free
Never know Never trust
"That love should see a color"
Crucify my love
If it should be that way

Swing the heartache
Feel it inside out
When the wind cries
I'll say goodbye
Tried to learn Tried to find
To reach out for eternity
Where's the answer
Is this forever

Like a river flowing to the sea
You'll be miles away, and I will know
I know I can deal with the pain
No reason to cry

Crucify my love
If my love is blind
Crucify my love
If it sets me free
Never know Never trust
"That love should see a color"
Crucify my love
If it should be that way

'Til the loneliness shadows the sky
I'll be sailing down and I will know
I know I can clear clouds away
Oh is it a crime to love

Swing the heartache
Feel it inside out
When the wind cries
I'll say goodbye
Tried to learn Tried to find
To reach out for eternity
Where's the answer
Is this forever

If my love is blind
Crucify my love
If it sets me free
Never know Never trust
"That love should see a color"
Crucify my love
If it should be that way
